Congratulations and welcome to the UBC to the first Military Veterans Program (MVP) class of 2023! A group of 11 millwrights and three interior systems carpenters completed their training recently at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The MVP program helps soldiers transition out of the U.S. Army and into careers as carpenters or millwrights.
Program participants take part in a free, eight-week training program, which gives military vets basic skill sets with hands-on projects for real-world experience as carpenters or millwrights. Once civilians, these veterans will join a UBC Local Union as a second-year apprentice. Learn more about this program by clicking here.
